![]() I’m excited to see if I can bring some of my favorite waveforms from Access, Waldorf and Sequential into this bad boy. I haven’t even dug into the new wavetable editor yet. ![]() Of course the Legend (Model D) filter was great, as expected. ![]() (Juno Alpha? Didn’t seem like it.) My greedy self couldn’t help wanting a SEM variable state model too. I was especially attracted to the “Alpha” filter model, though I’m not sure what it was based on. ) you should definitely download the demo and put it though it’s paces. I’m not declaring that my hybrids have been replaced, but for anyone who embraces software and is looking for a kind of updated Virus style sounds but with analog modeled filters (don’t even mention that Virus “Moog” model. #Icarus vst june 30 pro#I think he’s also improved the filter effect distortion algorithms, and I was able to get sounds that I almost swore were coming from my Pro 2. When Synapse released Legend, I knew the ability was there, but it took until now to get that modeling in Dune. Not in a bad way (though you could do some really evil stuff using the bit and rate reduction filter effects), but I always wished he’d add some filter models that had a bit more mojo. One of it’s characteristics was a very “digital” sound. Dune’s been a staple of mine since v2, because of it’s above average audio rate modulation abilities (few plugins get the sound of a filter modulated at audio rates well). I’m surprised that there’s only the new product announcement thread and nothing in general discussion of it. I finally had some quality time with Synapse Audio’s latest iteration of Dune.
